A great part of the coffee handled by CIPEXI is as a result of its presence in Côte d’Ivoire which ranks among the largest coffee producing
countries in Africa, with around 140,000 tons per year.
- Supply chain
CIPEXI SA maintains a preferential partnership relation with its cooperatives. The coffee that we purchase into our factories
comes from production areas all across Côte d’Ivoire. The suppliers are cooperatives of farmers and approved processing plants. Our purchase
power is 30,000 tons: 20,000 in Abidjan and 10,000 in San Pedro. Our dynamic and committed purchase agents travel throughout all
production areas to ensure effective supply. The monitoring of production in farms, the conditions of coffee beans and trees, the monitoring of
the changes in climate condition help us to have accurate information regarding the different production and harvest stages.
- Quality
Both of our plants are equipped with a laboratory where the quality of the coffee is tested. Our experienced quality controllers rigorously control
coffee beans before buying them from the farmers in the field. Only the product that is in compliance with the prescribed standards (grade, namely the
ratio of green beans) is cleared to enter the factory.
